Appeal for Support
Category : Global Citizenship
As part of our mandate as a social organisation involved in direct intervention, we help resource-deprived schools in rural Ghana, bridge the resource gap. Our current focus is on Gomoa West where we are helping Darumpong Catholic Primary and J.H.S obtain some basic scholastic materials. Following a project at the school on May 20th 2016, the school authorities appealed to Rural Heights Foundation to assist with some scholastic items. We in-turn appeal to individuals and corporate organisations to support the effort of Rural Heights Foundation in this regard.
Gomoa West district is one of the worst performing districts in the Basic Education Certificate Education examinations in Ghana. Average performance between 2011 and 2014 was 31.74%. According to a report by UNICEF and Centre for Democratic Development (CDD), the Gomoa West District in Ghana was the worst performer among 216 districts during the 2015 survey. In the prior year, it ranked 208th on the District League Table (DLT).
